Original 24”x24” Acrylic on Canvas Painting bedazzled with rhinestones Gallery wrapped heavy duty canvas At the point of this painting in 2024, I’d never painted a self-portrait before, never painted myself as a child before, never used rhinestones to bedazzle a canvas before. This whole project was about experimentation. The hard plastic rhinestones encircle and protect the figure. Creating art is about experimenting, trying new things, making mistakes, and growing through it all.

This painting is meant to signify how it feels when I am swept up and washed away in the rolling waves. The Romantic artists painted beautiful and overwhelming landscapes in order to communicate how small we are and how powerful nature is. I hope this painting follows that tradition with a personal extension.

Graphite, charcoal, & chalk pastel This artwork is my love letter to Poor Things. I was able to experiment with facial structure, blending, and combining a few of my favorite mediums to honor the 2023 film that will be with me forever.
