I'm a Northern Nevada-based artist and teacher. My artistic process tends toward areas of sensory emotion. I like to explore depth of feeling, cycles of growth and overgrowth, and creative expression of my inner world as it interacts with the outer world. I experiment with the interaction between vibrant colors, their various symbolic representations, and identity. The interplay between traditionally feminine media like watercolor and textiles versus traditionally ‘fine art’ media such as paint on canvas is a source of inspiration for me. While the distinction between the two is largely societal in nature, my combination of mixed-media in contemporary spaces serves to blur lines.

Recently, I have been studying love as it is reflected in my direct environment. What are the visual characteristics of the love I feel? The love I witness? The love I give and receive? I strive to capture the magic around me, refracting emotion into the physical, visual world.
